Two examples of similar products aimed at a teen audience:
To inform its target audience about the band involved or the story
Explain the target audience in detail
The target audience is teens aged between 14 to 18 as the band on the cover and in the story is aimed at teens that age. They would want to know about the bands as they would be into modern rock also
Explain how the company is represented
The company look like they take music seriously, however like to have a bit of a joke. The band in the double page spread are represented like they mess around more than taking music seriously due to making silly faces.

Stand First:
From being on the verge of homeless, to being in the big time performing at some of the biggest festivals and shows in the world, we bought in Connor Savage to our very studio to discuss his strive for greatness, how he got there and his inspiration to do so.
300 word article:
Before we start, what was life like before you hit the big time?
Before I hit the big time? Well, it was a struggle really. A lot
of the time I spent in my flat doing stuff like press ups and sit ups to keep
fit as I understood that was important, also recording a lot of music however
there was only me so that was difficult. Some of the time I went out to shops
in town for jobs to get some money but it I never got one. Eventually I got a
job in a fish and chip shop but it was low pay and I didn't enjoy it, however
it is a big reason I appreciate money today.
During your struggles, what was your inspiration to take music
further?
You'd expect some big inspiring story wouldn't you? Well actually
it isn't. One day the fish and chip shop I was working at was empty so I
started making notes for lyrics and my co worker saw them. She told me that
they were clever and that I should start finding someone to work with on them.
Interesting. What kickstarted your career then?
Well I took my co workers words into consideration and started
looking for people to work with. It took me a lot of advertising, considering I
needed a drummer to go along with the guitar. Eventually I found a guy called
Mike Abram. We thought it'd quite funny to make a joke band and name ourselves
The Rolling Pebbles. We made some songs and started applying to pubs to
headline their stages some night as a start. We got into a few and things were
going smooth. We even got payed for few as local bands were going out of
fashion.
How did you get signed to your first record label then?
Well, we met a guy at one of the bars who said there is a big show
of small and local bands going on in Plymouth. We decided to apply and with
utmost luck got in. Due to it being a relatively big thing some record label
companies were there so me and Mike knew we could hit big time. After our
performance, the manager of one of these record labels came up to me and Mike
and asked us to join them, although we'd need to change our name. I would've
done tons more than just change our bands name to get in. We made our first
album, and it blew up. The rest is self explanatory.

30th September Feedback:
ReplyDeleteWWW: some great work - DPS much better
EBI:
1. Cover image cut out could be smoother for higher level
2. Add drop shadow to both minor images on DPS
3. Adjust spacing to minor cover lines on cover
So cool
