Rock Genre
Stars within the rock genre often wear clothes that are related to there music genre. Typically this means, dark clothes, dark and long hair and usually have s lot of jewellery. A lot of this comes down to when rock genre really took off, in the 1970s where these clothes are popular among a lot of people. Also because it fits the type of low voiced, electric guitar and loud drums and basses. Ideas and themes of songs usually come from love and problems within their lives as many rock stars were associated with the stereotype of being, heavy drinkers, drug users, sex addicts and having terrible love lives. This stereotype caused the themes to usually be problems like this. Plus it usually tends to be male bands within the genre.
Pop Genre
Singers within the pop genre usually wear glamorous and bright clothes, have funky hairstyles, cool sunglasses and designer clothes. A lot of this is to do with the popularity of pop celebrities today, people need to stand out within the industry to make money so clothes like these will make them stand out. Pop music has very different styles of music within the genre, but it usually contains of electric backgrounds, guitars and basses, some autotune and maybe some techno music. The types of music that are popular today. Things that identity pop music usually are medium length songs with a repeated chorus, and a catchy melody and hook. They usually sing about what means things to the artist, for example Taylor Swift usually sings about love and relationships whereas Bruno Mars usually sings about money and being successful. Pop songs are very highly produced.
RnB Genre
Rnb, or Rhythm and Blues is a genre of african american music originated in the 1940s. The term Rhythm and Blues came from record companies that described african americans tracks as the RnB term. Singers within this genre usually wear clothes like shiny suits, fedoras and black shined suits. This came from clothes popular in the 1940s like suits and hats similar. Plus most RnB artists are african american as this is the race the genre originated from. The music typically sounds very smooth, with acoustic guitars, a soft drum beat, and the often trumpet of trombone. This is down to what musical instruments were available at the time. Themes are usually world problems and trying to create happiness with the music. More modern RnB contains artists such as Usher and Beyonce with a more electrical twist on them.
Dance
Dance music is is full of popular songs in the time period of the music. For example in 2017 people usually prefer techno, electric and dustup music over swing and jazz music like in the 1940s. Stars of the genre are usually DJs, these DJs usually wear clothes related to the music they are playing or popular clothes at the time. Music usually contains electric/techno style songs.

Middle class people from European and Northern American countries usually listen to this genre. Maybe some lower class people as usually they have drug or alcohol related problems, which rock themes sometimes about so they can relate to the problems

Target Audience - Older children and teenagers. Pop usually contains treading topics at the time and stuff this age group is interested in. Parents of this age group may also be interested is their children listen to this music. Ethnicity usually contains white, middle to upper class children and teenagers as the glamorous, desirable and famous music usually relates to them.
Which magazines and radio stations feature this genre? - Vogue magazines contain a lot of stuff based off of pop stars and pop music. This is because pop always contains trending music and vogue contains fashion, trends and relevant music. Radio stations that usually contain pop music are BBC radio 1 and cornwall's PirateFM. This is because these radio stations keep up with trends and are popular radio stations.
Rock
Target Audience - The target audience ranges, however it is mostly aimed at a male audience. This is because it is usually violent music, contains hard and heavy music and contains explicit language. Middle class people from European and Northern American countries usually listen to this genre. Typical class is lower class, poorer people in areas in USA, Britain and Eastern European countries listen to this and ethnicity is usually black people in USA and Britain and a larger white ethnicity in the east of Europe. It contains this class as people that have problems can relate to the music genre as themes contain similar problems.
